Ranchi: The Chief Minister, while addressing the “Abua Dishom Budget Seminar” organized by the Finance Department, said that Jharkhand has completed an important journey of 25 years and now the state needs a strong, balanced, inclusive, and multidimensional budget. He stated that the budget should be designed in a way that shapes the vast potential of this young state, reflects public aspirations, and continuously accelerates development.
The Chief Minister said that the size of the budget will increase further in the coming years, therefore concrete and well-planned efforts are necessary to enhance revenue collection so that there is no shortage of funds in the implementation of development works and welfare schemes.
Referring to his recent visit to Davos for the World Economic Forum meeting and his London tour, he said that he got an opportunity to closely observe the policies, prosperous economies, work culture, and lifestyle of various countries. These experiences will be utilized to give a new direction to the state. He also emphasized value addition of the state’s natural and industrial resources so they can be used according to local needs and strengthen the hopes and aspirations of the people.
Appreciating the suggestions received from the public and experts regarding the “Abua Dishom Budget,” the Chief Minister congratulated and thanked those who sent the best suggestions through the budget portal. He said that public participation is the foundation of strong and transparent governance.
