Artists, Knowledge-Keepers and Youth Leaders Come Together

East Singhbhum, November 16

The second day of the Samvaad 2025 programme on Sunday witnessed the coming together of tribal communities, knowledge-keepers, youth leaders and artists from across the country.

One of the major highlights of the day was Rhythms of the Earth—Samvaad’s first multi-tribal, musician-led band from India, featuring 44 talented artists.

Speaking on the occasion, Saurav Roy, CEO, Tata Steel Foundation, said that Samvaad is a platform where dialogue and expression emerge in many forms. Sessions showcased art and handicrafts, the depth of traditional healing practices, ecological knowledge derived from the Akhara, and the stories embedded in indigenous cuisines.

The celebration of heritage and storytelling through the Samvaad Fellowship also stood out, reminding everyone that tribal communities are the strong creators of the future. Notably, over the past eight years, Rhythms of the Earth has brought together gifted musicians from various tribes, giving voice to their identity, emotions and ideas through music.
