PVUNL’s Unit-1 Commences Commercial Operations, Boosting Jharkhand’s Power Capacity

 

Jharkhand/Ramgarh: The Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) on Wednesday announced the successful commencement of commercial operations for its Unit No. 1, marking a major milestone in strengthening Jharkhand’s power infrastructure and contributing to the nation’s energy security.

The newly commissioned unit is equipped with state-of-the-art ultra-supercritical technology, offering higher efficiency and reduced environmental impact. It features an air-cooled condenser for minimal water usage and a 100% dry ash handling system to ensure complete utilization of fly ash. The unit has successfully completed all mandatory testing and stabilization processes, demonstrating its reliability and operational excellence.

PVUNL CEO A.K. Sehgal, CGM (Project) Anupam Mukherjee, GM (Operations) Manish Kshetrapal, GM (Technical Services) Sangeeta Dash, GM (Maintenance) O.P. Solanki, GM (Project) Vishnu Dutta Dash, and several other officials were present on the occasion.
