Jharkhand/Ramgarh: A large number of devotees gathered at the sacred Maa Chhinnamastika Temple in Rajrappa on the occasion of Kartik Purnima. Since early Wednesday morning, long queues of devotees were seen waiting to offer prayers to the goddess. On this holy full moon day, devotees took a ritual bath in the Bhairavi River before offering prayers to seek blessings from Maa Chhinnamastika.
Temple priest Subhashish Panda said that this year’s Kartik Purnima holds special significance due to an auspicious celestial alignment. On the day of Dev Deepawali, special rituals and worship were performed for the goddess.
Devotees from across Jharkhand as well as neighboring states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh arrived in large numbers to participate in the rituals and seek the divine blessings of Maa Chhinnamastika.
