If a King’s Son Becomes King, Democracy Will Cease to Exist: Jayram Mahato

Jharkhand/East Singhbhum: Jharkhand Lok Krantikari Morcha (JLKM) president and MLA Jayram Mahato, while campaigning in support of Ramdas Murmu, the JLKM-backed candidate for the Ghatshila by-election, said that both the BJP and JMM candidates are “sons of kings.” He remarked that if only a king’s son becomes king, the very existence of democracy will be destroyed. Therefore, he urged the people of Ghatshila to vote for the JLKM candidate Ramdas Murmu. Jayram was addressing a public meeting in Ghatshila on Tuesday.

Mahato said that when a single JLKM MLA can raise the voice of rights and justice across Jharkhand, the party’s strength will double after winning the Ghatshila by-election. With greater power, the party will continue to raise the voice of Jharkhandis’ rights even more strongly in the state assembly. He added that even as the MLA from the Dumri Assembly constituency, he has been actively raising the issues of Jadugoda and Ghatshila in the state assembly sessions. He assured that if his party’s candidate wins, every problem of Ghatshila will be addressed.

On the occasion, under the leadership of JLKM central vice-president Devendra Nath Mahato, an election campaign was carried out in several villages of Dhalbhumgarh and Ghatshila blocks, including Raghunathdih, Sonakhun Chowk, Moghasoli, Amadobi, Podiasol, Behda Baki, and Chakdoha. People were urged to vote for party candidate Ramdas Murmu, symbol number five — “Scissors” symbol — in the election.

Those present on the occasion included Jayram Mahato, Devendra Nath Mahato, candidate Ramdas Murmu, Prem Mardi, Naveen Kumar, Damayanti Munda, Baby, and Poonam, among several other party officials and supporters.
