Sex Racket Network Becomes Active Again, Women Demand Strict Action

Jharkhand/East Singhbhum: The sex trade network operating under the guise of men’s beauty parlors in the Tyuladungri area of Golmuri police station has once again become active. More than a dozen small parlors in the area are reportedly involved in this illegal activity. Local residents claim that these parlors have turned into open hubs of immoral acts, spoiling the atmosphere of the locality and negatively influencing the youth.

When the women of the area came to know about this, they united and conducted raids on several suspicious parlors. The Golmuri police also supported their campaign, and all the suspected shops were temporarily shut down at that time. People had then felt a sense of relief, but within a few weeks, the illegal trade reportedly resumed.

Local women have alleged that the parlor operators are influential and aggressive. They have started threatening the women who opposed them and have reopened their parlors to restart the illegal activities. Upset over this, a group of women again reached the Golmuri police station on Tuesday and demanded permanent action against the offenders.

The women urged the police administration to thoroughly investigate all such suspicious parlors, shut them down permanently, and take strict legal action against those responsible. They said that this issue is not only about morality but also about public safety and social decency.

Local residents also requested the police to maintain regular surveillance and conduct periodic raids to completely eliminate such illegal activities from the area.

The police station in-charge said that an investigation into the complaints is underway and assured that strict action will be taken if the allegations are found to be true.
