Jharkhand/East Singhbhum: During the Ghatshila Assembly by-election campaign, BJP State President and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi addressed Panchayat-level workers’ meetings held at Dhobini Panchayat in Musabani and Badakhursi Panchayat in Galudih on Tuesday.
While addressing party workers and locals, Marandi launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing him of having no faith in the capabilities of the tribal community.
Marandi said that after the demise of Haji Hussain Ansari, his son Hafizul Ansari was made a minister, and after Jagannath Mahato’s death, his wife Baby Devi was appointed to the cabinet. “Then why was the son of late Ramdas Soren not made a minister?” he questioned. “This clearly shows that Hemant Soren considers the tribal community as immature and does not trust them with important responsibilities.”
He further alleged that Hemant Soren believes only members of his own family are capable and deliberately avoids giving key positions to other tribal leaders. “The real face of Hemant Soren, who pretends to be a well-wisher of the tribal community, has now been exposed before the people,” Marandi said.
Expressing confidence, Marandi said that the tribal voters of Ghatshila will respond to this insult through their votes. He urged BJP workers to reach out to every household, expose the anti-people policies of the Hemant government, and ensure the victory of the BJP candidate in the by-election.
On the occasion, BJP State Working Committee member Suresh Saw, K.K. Gupta, and several party workers were also present.
