Hemant Government Has No Vision for a Self-Reliant Jharkhand: Arun Singh

“Whatever development you see is due to Modi Government,” says BJP National General Secretary

Ranchi. BJP National General Secretary and MP Arun Singh on Monday targeted the Hemant Soren government and the INDIA alliance during a press conference held at the state BJP headquarters. Singh was in Jharkhand to attend the review meeting of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’.

“Hemant government is taking Jharkhand away from the path of development”

Singh said that the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan aims to build a developed India by 2047 and is progressing rapidly across the country. He added that although the Jharkhand government talks about achieving development by 2050, the direction in which it is moving is pushing the state far away from progress.

He alleged that in the last six years, the Hemant Soren government has failed to present any new vision.
According to him:

  • “Loot and corruption have become rampant in the state.”
  • “Schools lack teachers, hospitals lack medicines.”
  • “Children are being given contaminated blood.”
  • “Massive corruption in DMFT funds and scams in Bokaro have surfaced.”
  • “The government is unable to even repair potholes on the roads.”

“All visible development is the contribution of the Modi government”

Arun Singh said that during the UPA regime, the central budget for basic infrastructure was ₹2.5 lakh crore, which has now reached ₹12.5 lakh crore under the Modi government.
He also highlighted that ₹35,000 crore has been allocated for the Bharatmala project in Jharkhand.

On Bihar Assembly Elections

Reacting to the sweeping victory of the NDA in Bihar, Singh stated:
“This victory belongs to Modi’s guarantees and Nitish Kumar’s good governance.”

Calls Rahul Gandhi a “Frustrated Leader”

Singh said that the INDIA alliance is not doing issue-based or development-oriented politics, which is why people are rejecting it repeatedly.
He said:

  • “Rahul Gandhi is a frustrated leader.”
  • “He goes abroad and insults India.”
  • “People are rejecting him and the Congress again and again.”

Rift within INDIA Alliance Will Widen

He said the Congress did not support the JMM during the Bihar Assembly elections, which will intensify the internal conflict within the INDIA bloc.
He claimed this rift will have “far-reaching consequences.”

On Ghatshila Bypoll Result

Commenting on the Ghatshila by-election result, Singh said:
“JMM’s victory is not due to its performance, but due to sympathy and misuse of power.”

Party Leaders Present

State BJP Vice President Vikas Preetam and Media In-charge Shivpujan Pathak were present during the press conference.
