Jharkhand/Ranchi: The birth anniversary of the first poet, Maharishi Valmiki, was celebrated with great pomp and show at the Shiva Temple in Hatia Chowk, Ranchi, on Tuesday. Devotees present offered flowers, performed puja, and distributed prasad (offerings). Mithileshvar Mishra, State Minister of the VHP, who was present at the event, said that Maharishi Valmiki composed the epic Ramayana and brought his inspiring life stories to the masses. Maharishi Valmiki is a guide and revered by all Sanatanis. Lord Shri Ram's devotion to his parents, love for his brothers, generosity towards his subjects, courage, bravery, and valor, along with his friendship with the Nishad king and the stories of Kevat and Mother Shabari, set an example of social harmony and unity. Today, on Maharishi Valmiki's birth anniversary, everyone should follow the ideals of Lord Shri Ram and pledge to build a harmonious society.
