Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, former MLA Samari Lal, RIMS Director Raj Kumar, actress Neha Jha, writer Jayshree, BJP Mahila Morcha's Seema Singh, and All India Valmiki Mahasabha President Bhagat Valmiki, along with other dignitaries, were present on the occasion.
Minister Radha Krishna Kishore stated that the purpose of organizing the Valmiki Prakat Mahotsav is to foster social consciousness and unity.
He stated that Valmiki Ji left behind his pre-Valmiki personality and reached the Ramayana, a result of his education. He added that even extremists are currently joining the mainstream. However, there should be no system in place that forces them to return to their old ways. The minister said that as long as we remain divided among Valmikis, Paswans, Rajaks, and Ravidass, we will not be able to reach the destination we all desire. We need to unite. Education can play a major role in this unity. For this, we need to organize. Only then we can achieve our goals. He said that the identity of Scheduled Castes is being lost in Jharkhand. It is because of Babasaheb's reservation that we have MLAs and ministers from our community today. We must unite to maintain Babasaheb's system in society.
He said that Lord Ram ate the leftover berries of Mother Shabari, but this is not possible in society today. A political system is needed to reach our goals. Therefore, programs like these must bring people together.
Society should spread knowledge like Maharishi Valmiki: Bauri
Former minister Amar Kumar Bauri said that Maharishi Valmiki introduced Ram 5000 years ago, and his Ramayana is still relevant today. He said that the Valmiki community should not consider itself inferior or untouchable, because Maharishi Valmiki is within all of us, and just as he composed the Ramayana with his knowledge and science, we all need to expand our knowledge.
Former MLA Samari Lal said that education is a necessity for the people of our community. Only education can bring good to society. There are many people from our community who have worked to improve society through education.
