Jharkhand/Ranchi: Agriculture Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey said that the Mudma Fair is a symbol of the cultural pride of tribals and indigenous people. It is a reflection of Jharkhand's tradition, collectivism, and social unity, and its popularity has spread not only to the state but also to other states. The Minister visited the historic State Mudma Fair complex on Tuesday to review the preparations.
She expressed hope that this year's fair will set a new record.
Thousands of people from across Jharkhand and the country will participate in this fair, which will be held on October 8th and 9th.
The Minister visited the fair complex and issued several instructions to officials.
She said that all departments should work in coordination to ensure that visitors do not face any inconvenience.
During the inspection, the Minister purchased a brass statue of villagers playing drums and a brass peacock from Pancham, a shopkeeper in the fair complex.
During this, SDO Utkarsh Gupta, Traffic SP, Rural SP, BDO-CO of many blocks, Congress Block President Manga Oraon, Mujibullha, Sarita Tikka, Seraphina Minj, Bandhu Oraon, Shamim Akhtar and many other officials and public representatives were present.
