Spiritual leader Dalai Lama wishes Prime Minister Modi on his birthday, saying, "I have witnessed development and prosperity over the past few years"

Himachal Pradesh/Dharamshala : Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel laureate Dalai Lama extended warm greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday and wished him good health.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, he wrote, "As India's longest-serving guest, I have witnessed firsthand the far-reaching development and prosperity of the past few years. I congratulate you on your growing confidence and strength in recent times. India's success also contributes to global development."

He said, "I consider myself a proud messenger of India and regularly express my admiration for India's remarkable and profound religious pluralism, the world's most populous and largest democracy. India offers an example of harmony and stability to the world."

The Dalai Lama wrote, "For us Tibetans, India has been not only the source of our spiritual heritage, but also our physical home for more than 66 years. I once again express my deep gratitude to the Government of India and the people of India for their warm and generous hospitality."
