Uttarakhand/Dehradun (H.S.): The Dhami government of the state is continuously campaigning to remove illegal encroachment. The administration demolished the illegally built Mazar by occupying the temple place recorded in the land records of Kashipur tehsil of Udham Singh Nagar district early Friday morning. On August 27, the administration had issued a notice to the operator of the illegal Mazar built in village Kachnal Gusain in Kashipur tehsil area of the district on the basis of a complaint and gave 15 days to show the land and construction related documents. Despite the completion of the period, the operator did not respond to the notice. The administration also took stock of the situation by visiting the spot with the force several times. During this time no one was found to discuss about it.

In Kashipur, local and senior people complained that earlier there used to be a temple of the village deity here, which someone later converted into an illegal mazar.

Mayor Deepak Bali also took cognizance of this matter and talked to the district administration and made public sentiments known. The administration demolished the said religious structure under the leadership of SDM Abhay Pratap Singh. After this action taken by the administration with a bulldozer, the debris was removed respectfully.

Additional District Magistrate Pankaj Upadhyay said that the said structure built illegally has been removed lawfully, no one has come forward to claim it.
