(H.S.) : The Ranchi Civil Court has delivered its verdict in the
murder case of renowned builder Kamal Bhushan of Ranchi, the capital of
Jharkhand. The court has convicted W. Kujur, Rahul Kujur, Sushila Kujur, and
Kavis Adnan, who were facing trial in the case. One of the accused, Munawar
Afaq, had turned approver, but the court acquitted him due to lack of
sufficient evidence.
The trial of this case took place in the court of Additional Judge Anand Prakash of the Civil Court. During the trial, the prosecution recorded the statements of more than 30 witnesses and presented the FSL report. The police also collected numerous other evidence, based on which the accused were convicted. The sentencing of the accused in the case will be announced on September 22nd.
The murder was carried out by gunfire in May 2022
It is noteworthy that on May 30, 2022, builder Kamal Bhushan was shot dead near Devi Mandap Road in Piska More. His daughter Yamini was fully aware of the conspiracy to murder Kamal Bhushan. W. Kujur's sons, Rahul and Chhotu Kujur, orchestrated the murder.
Yamini had a love marriage with Rahul, which angered Kamal Bhushan. The case was not limited to the murder of Kamal Bhushan. The accused in Kamal Bhushan's murder also murdered his accountant, Sanjay Singh, who was a witness in the case. Kamal's daughter Yamini was also charged in this murder because it is alleged that she paid the shooters.
