BSNL contractors create ruckus: siege of GM office

Jharkhand/East Singhbhum: BSNL service provider contractors expressed their anger on Monday and surrounded the General Manager (GM) office. The contractors allege that the department has been arbitrarily deducting money from their accounts for the last several months without any prior notice. All the contractors united and protested against this arbitrariness.

The protesters warned that if the deducted money is not returned soon, the broadband service will be stopped in the entire city. They said that due to their hard work, internet service is reaching the consumers, but the department is constantly doing injustice to them. The contractors say that if the situation does not change, the connection of about 25,000 consumers will be disconnected.

The contractors accused the General Manager of exploitation and arbitrariness and clearly said that they will not tolerate any more exploitation. After the warning of agitation, there is panic among the departmental officials.
