Jharkhand/Hazaribagh: Hazaribagh police has seized huge amount of liquor by conducting raids against illegal liquor manufacturing. Police has also demolished liquor distilleries. Police is taking action by registering a case against the people involved in this business.
On the instructions of Hazaribagh Superintendent of Police (SP) Anjani Anjan, a raid team was formed on Sunday under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Barhi. The team demolished illegal liquor distilleries built at various places in the forest areas of Bhaghar Bhandar village with two JCB machines.
Police said that in this raid operation, about 12 liquor distilleries built at various places in the forest areas of Bhaghar Bhandar village and Parsatari were demolished. Also, 60000 kg of Java Mahua and 5000 liters of Mahua liquor were destroyed.
500 drums, 50 aluminium degcha and liquor making equipment have been recovered from the spot. In this regard, a case has been registered against the persons involved and further action is being taken.
