Two arrested for getting themselves shot

Bokaro: Police has solved the firing incident that took place on the night of August 23 in Sector-12 police station area of ​​the district. This case seemed to be a business dispute at first, but investigation revealed that the victim himself had conspired to get himself shot along with his cousin. Plaintiff Abhishek Pratap Singh (father late Ashok Kumar Singh, resident of Sector 12/D Quarter No. 1165) had given a written complaint in the police station that on August 23 at around 8.25 pm, while descending the stairs of his quarter, a helmeted bike rider attacked him. A 7.62 mm shell was recovered from the spot. Abhishek accused his former business partner Chandramohan Ojha and his wife Archana Ojha of getting him shot.

The case turned during investigation

Seeing the seriousness of the information, Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh formed a special team under the leadership of City Deputy Superintendent of Police Alok Ranjan. Investigation revealed that Abhishek Pratap Singh, along with his cousin Mandhir Kumar Singh, had planned to shoot himself to implicate his former partner. Police arrested both of them and seized the weapons, bullets and bike used in the incident. A loaded country-made pistol (7.62 mm), 19 live bullets (7.62 mm), an empty shell, a black Pulsar motorcycle and two mobile phones were recovered.

In this regard, a case has been registered in Sector-12 police station (Case number 115/25) under the Arms Act. Abhishek Pratap Singh, Sector 12/D Quarter No. 1165, and Mandhir Kumar Singh, Sector 12/D Quarter No. 1165 were arrested. The officers involved in the raiding team were police station in-charge Subhash Chandra Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Sudama Kumar Das, Sub Inspector Kanti Bilas, Dilip Tudu, Assistant Sub Inspector Mithlesh Kumar Dubey, Inder Kumar Paswan and many constables.
