Pressure on the stock market in early trade, Sensex and Nifty fall

New Delhi: The effect of the 25 percent additional tariff imposed by the US on India is visible in the domestic stock market for the second consecutive trading day today. Today's trading started with weakness. As soon as the market opened, the stock market movement fell sharply due to selling pressure. However, after the first 20 minutes of trading, buyers started buying, due to which the movement of both Sensex and Nifty indices started improving. After trading till 10 am, the Sensex was trading with a weakness of 0.50 percent and Nifty with a weakness of 0.47 percent.

After trading till 10 am, among the big stocks of the stock market, the shares of Hero MotoCorp, Asian Paints, SBI Life Insurance, Mahindra & Mahindra and Larsen & Toubro were trading with strength ranging from 1.48 percent to 0.49 percent. On the other hand, shares of Shriram Finance, HCL Technology, HDFC Bank, TCS and Jio Financial were seen trading with a decline of 2.84 percent to 1.08 percent.

So far, there was active trading in 2,149 shares in the stock market. Of these, 671 shares were trading in the green mark by making profits, while 1,478 shares were trading in the red mark by suffering losses. Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 9 stocks remained in the green mark with the support of buying. On the other hand, 21 stocks were trading in the red mark under the pressure of selling. While out of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty, 10 stocks were seen trading in the green mark and 40 stocks in the red mark.

The BSE Sensex opened today with a slight weakness of 31.88 points at 80,754.66 points. Due to the selling pressure as soon as the trading started, the index fell to 80,093.52 points in the first 20 minutes of trading. However, after this the buyers started buying, due to which the movement of this index started improving. After the trading till 10 am amid continuous buying and selling in the market, the Sensex was trading at 80,385.01 points with a decline of 401.53 points.

Like the Sensex, NSE's Nifty today started trading at a level of 24,695.80 points, falling 16.25 points. Due to the selling pressure as soon as the market opened, this index fell by more than 200 points to the level of 24,507.20 points. However, after the first 20 minutes of trading, the buyers started buying, due to which the condition of this index started improving. After the 10 am trading session amid continuous buying and selling in the market, Nifty was trading at 24,596.20 points with a weakness of 115.85 points.

Earlier on Tuesday, the last trading day, the Sensex closed at 80,786.54 points with a weakness of 849.37 points i.e. 1.04 percent. On the other hand, Nifty ended Tuesday's trading at 24,712.05 points with a decline of 255.70 points i.e. 1.02 percent.
