Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi is on a two-day visit to Gujarat from today. Prime Minister Modi did a grand road show from Ahmedabad Airport to Nikol and addressed a public meeting. During this, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 5477 crore on the occasion of Urban Development Year 2025. Governor Acharya Devvrat, State President and Union Water Power Minister CR Patil and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel were present on this occasion. In this program, everyone took a pledge to adopt Make in India.
The media department of the Bharatiya Janata Party Gujarat state said in a statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his address that the wonderful enthusiasm of Ganesh Utsav is being seen across the country. With the blessings of Ganpati Bappa, many works related to the development of Gujarat have started. It is my good fortune that I got the opportunity to dedicate many projects to the public. I congratulate the public for these development works. He said that this year there has been heavy rain in many parts of Gujarat. There have been incidents of cloudburst in other states of the country as well. I express my condolences to every affected family. The fury of nature remains a challenge for the entire country and the world today. The central government is doing relief and rescue work in collaboration with all the state governments.
Modi further said that the land of Gujarat is the land of two "Mohans" - one Sudarshan Chakradhari Mohan i.e. our Dwarkadish Lord Krishna and the other Charkhadhari Mohan i.e. Pujya Bapuji. Today we are continuously becoming stronger by following the path shown by both of them. Lord Krishna taught us how to protect the society and the country. His Sudarshan Chakra became the shield of justice and security, which punishes the enemy even in the netherworld. This is the feeling that the country and the world are feeling in India's decisions today.
Recalling the old days of Ahmedabad, he said that Gujarat and especially Ahmedabad also saw such days when there was bloodshed on festivals due to rioters, knife-wielders and curfew, but today the government does not spare terrorists and their masters. Earlier Congress governments of Delhi used to sit silently when the blood of our soldiers was shed but the world saw how India avenged Pahalgam - our army wiped out terrorism in 22 minutes. The army attacked the target set and attacked the navel of terrorism. Operation Sindoor has become a symbol of the bravery of the army and the willpower of India of Sudarshan Chakradhari Mohan.
The Prime Minister further said that Charkha Dhari Mohan, Pujya Bapu ji had shown the path of India's prosperity in Swadeshi. Sabarmati Ashram is a witness to this. But those who enjoyed power in the name of Bapu. What did they do with the mantra of Swadeshi? Neither cleanliness nor Swadeshi is heard from their mouth. For 60–65 years, Congress ruled and kept India dependent on other countries so that they could play with imports while sitting in power, but today India has made self-reliance the basis for building a developed India. India is rapidly moving ahead on the path of development on the strength of farmers, fishermen, animal husbandry and industrialists. Gujarat's dairy sector is very strong and the contribution of sisters is the biggest in it. By doing animal husbandry, they have made the dairy power strong and self-reliant.
Prime Minister Modi told small industrialists, farmers, cattle farmers that today the politics of economic selfishness is happening in the world. I promise from the land of Ahmedabad that your interest is paramount for Modi. My government will never allow injustice to happen to you. No matter how much pressure comes, we will keep increasing our power to bear it. The Self-reliant India campaign has got a lot of energy from Gujarat. This is the result of two decades of hard work. He said that once curfews were imposed in Ahmedabad even for milk and buttermilk, but today Ahmedabad has become the safest city in the country. The peace and security of Gujarat has increased the opportunities for development in every field. Today Gujarat has emerged as a manufacturing hub.
The Prime Minister said that metro coaches made in Gujarat are being exported to other countries. Big companies are setting up factories in Gujarat. Gujarat is also becoming a big center for electric vehicle production. Gujarat is a leader in semiconductor sector, textile, gems-jewellery, medicine and vaccine manufacturing. Gujarat also plays an important role as a green energy and petrochemical hubHe said that Sabarmati Ashram is being renovated. This work is historic after the grand statue of Sardar Patel. When the poor come out of poverty, they become the strength of the country by becoming the new neo middle class. Our government has waived income tax on income of 12 lakhs. GST is also being reformed and a big gift is going to be received before Diwali. Swachhata Abhiyan is not a one day job, but a daily task.
The Prime Minister also mentioned the tourism importance of Sabarmati Riverfront, Kankaria Carnival, Ahmedabad and said that Ahmedabad is a UNESCO World Heritage City. He said that the festival should not only be a celebration of culture but also of self-reliance. India will become a developed nation by 2047 and its path goes through Swadeshi and self-reliance.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said in his address that Gujarat's Panota Putra Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi has created a unique history in the country's politics by continuously working for more than 4078 days. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the Indian Army successfully completed Operation Sindoor. This is a symbol of India's strength and self-reliance under the leadership of Modi ji. State ministers, state and district officials, MPs, MLAs and workers were present in large numbers in this program.
