Noida: Police today arrested absconding accused brother-in-law Rohit and father-in-law Satbir in the much talked about Nikki murder case in Greater Noida area of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. They were arrested near Sirsa toll plaza. In this case, yesterday the police arrested the deceased's husband Vipin during a police encounter. The bullet fired by the police hit his leg. His mother Daya had come to see Vipin admitted in the hospital, who was arrested by the police from there. Police presented all the arrested accused in the court from where the court has sent them to jail in judicial custody for 14 days.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Sudhir Kumar Singh said that on the night of August 21, the Kasna police station received information from Fortis Hospital in Greater Noida that a woman named Nikki, age 28, from Sirsa village has been admitted to the hospital due to burns, who has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. He said that the woman died before reaching the hospital. In this case, the deceased's elder sister Kanchan has registered a case against her husband Vipin, brother-in-law Rohit, mother-in-law Daya and father-in-law Satbir under sections 103 (1), 115 (2) 61 (2) of the Indian Penal Code.
After the arrest of Vipin, who was injured in the police encounter, deceased Nikki's father Bhikari Singh said that Vipin should have been shot in the chest, not in the leg. He should get the harshest punishment. He said that a bulldozer should be run on Vipin's house. Here is Baba's government. He said that if strict action is not taken against the accused, then he will sit on a dharna by gheraoing outside the officers' office. Bhikari Singh's family members say that Bhikari Singh had recently bought a Mercedes car, which Vipin had his eyes on. Bhikari Singh is in a bad condition due to crying. He told that he had taught both his daughters in DPS school. He used to drop and pick both of them from school. They had a grand wedding despite demonetization. According to them, Nikki's husband is addicted to drinking alcohol. He does not do any work. Due to this, their daughters had to start boutique and beauty parlor business. Both of them were running their house with this. 6 months ago also Vipin had beaten Nikki. Then the people of the society had pacified the matter by persuasion. Nikki was sent back to her in-laws' house. The people of the society had said that Vipin will improve. Wait a little. After two panchayats, the daughters were sent on the advice of the people of the society. Did not know that we will see this day. The five-year-old son of deceased Nikki has now come to his maternal grandfather's house. He says that the father beat the mother and set fire to her with a lighter after pouring something on her. When he started crying, the father slapped him too and sent him out. He was seen searching for his mother in the crowd. According to Nikki's elder sister, who is married to Vipin's elder brother Rohit in the same house, she was ill on the day of the incident, she had a drip in her hand. When she heard the voice of "save me save me", she came out and saw that Nikki's body was on fire. She was begging for life from her husband and mother-in-law standing there. During this, Kanchan made a video with one hand and started extinguishing the fire with the other hand. Surrounded by the flames, Nikki climbed down the stairs of the house to seek help. The neighbors also saw this scene and were horrified. Nikki's brother told that Vipin did not do any work. His father has a shop. He used to spend money from the shop's cashbox and indulge in debauchery. He used to come home late at night and then beat Nikki. The family members say that after Nikki's death, they will not send their elder daughter Kanchan to her in-laws' house either. Kanchan has come to her father's house with her two children.
Nikki's family members say that now they have no relation with that house. There is a discussion in Nikki's in-laws' village Sirsa that Vipin was unhappy with Nikki running a boutique and Kanchan running a beauty parlor. Both the sisters had an account on Instagram. Both used to put their reels on that account, on which various types of comments used to come. Vipin used to oppose this too, and he beat them many times. Sonu Bhati, a resident of Sirsa village, said that the video of the fight which is going viral on social media is old. In this matter, there was a settlement between both the parties earlier. There was a panchayat in the village and a settlement was reached between both the parties. According to him, both the sisters used to run accounts on social media, about which people used to make lewd comments. Vipin used to quarrel with both of them regarding this matter.
The Nikki murder case is trending on social media across the country. In this case, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav, Azad Samaj Party National President Chandrashekhar Azad and Congress leader Pankhuri Pathak have also made their comments.
