Jogbani police recovered five lakh rupees looted near Bandhan Bank

Araria: In the case of five lakh rupees looted near Bandhan Bank in Jogbani police station area of the district on Monday, the police has recovered the looted amount of five lakh rupees. Claiming to have solved the case, the police recovered the money from the house of Anish Yadav, son of Kalu Yadav, resident of Jurabganj Ward No. 1 Naya Tola of Koira police station area of Katihar. This was also confirmed by Forbesganj SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha. On the basis of CCTV footage of the incident and information collection, the criminal was identified as Anish Yadav, resident of Jurabganj Ward No. 1 Naya Tola of Koira police station area. After which, on the instructions of SP Anjani Kumar, the special raiding team raided the house of Anish Yadav in Koira and recovered the looted five lakh rupees from under his bed. However, the accused Anish Yadav escaped from the spot.

      On Monday at 1 pm, in Jogbani police station area, two criminals riding on a bike snatched five lakh rupees in a bag from a businessman who was going to Bandhan Bank to deposit the money. Near Netaji Chowk Bandhan Bank, the bag containing money was snatched from him by two criminals riding a motorcycle. After the information, Jogbani police station observed the CCTV footage of the direction of the criminals' escape and identified the criminal sitting behind on the motorcycle among the fleeing criminals.

     The criminal sitting behind was identified as Anish Yadav, son of Kalu Yadav. Jogbani police station raided the house of the identified criminal with the help of Koira police station. In the raid, Anish Yadav was found absconding from home. But the five lakh rupees snatched from under the bed in his room was recovered. SDPO said that raids are being conducted to arrest the absconding Anish Yadav and his other accomplice.

     The absconding Aneesh Yadav has a criminal history. In this case, police case number- 91/25 dated-19/08/25 section-304 BNS has been registered and further action is being taken. Criminal cases are registered against Aneesh Yadav in Munger Jamalpur and Sonpur of Saharsa. The raiding team included Jogbani police station in-charge Rajiv Kumar Azad, SI Gorakh Kumar, Raja Babu, Pooja Sharma, Mukesh Kumar and Koira police station police.
