Ranchi: Heavy rain is expected in north-western districts of Jharkhand on 22nd August. The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange alert regarding this.The districts of the state where heavy rain is expected include Palamu, Garhwa, Latehar and Chatra. The department has expressed the possibility of heavy rain in some parts of various districts of the state till 25th August. The Meteorological Department has issued a Yellow alert regarding this. During the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall in the state was recorded in Goyalkera of West Singhbhum at 36.6 mm. During this period, 16.8 mm of rain was recorded in Ranchi.
On Wednesday, Ranchi and surrounding areas remained cloudy, with light sunshine appearing intermittently.The maximum temperature was recorded at 28.6 degrees in Ranchi, 31.6 in Jamshedpur, 32.7 in Daltonganj, 30.1 in Bokaro and 30 degrees Celsius in Chaibasa.
