New Delhi: India has achieved a major achievement by successfully testing the Integrated Air Defense Weapon System (IAWS). The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully tested the IAWS on August 23 at around 12.30 pm off the Odisha coast.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO for this successful test in an ex-post on Sunday and wrote that it has established the country's multi-layered air defense capability. It will further strengthen regional security against enemy air threats.
IAWS is a multi-layered air defense system. Which includes many indigenous missiles and powerful laser weapons. This system is not only capable of neutralizing every type of air attack including enemy fighter aircraft, drone attacks, helicopter attacks, but can also kill enemy weapons in the air itself.
