Ranchi: The health of a female doctor doing PG in RIMS hospital campus suddenly deteriorated on Friday. It is being told that the doctor had drunk tea from the canteen, shortly after this her health deteriorated. When her condition became critical, she had to be shifted to the ICU of Trauma Center on ventilator.
After this incident, the hospital administration came into action and immediately sealed the campus canteen. Not only this, the canteen of paying ward and Ortho department has also been closed in view of security.
At present, the team of Food Safety Department is engaged in investigation. Further action will be decided only after the report comes. RIMS administration has made it clear that there will be no compromise with the health of patients and staff and strictness will be maintained on canteen operation.
It is noteworthy that after drinking tea from the Ortho canteen, the health of a PG first year doctor of the Gynecology department suddenly deteriorated. Her condition is said to be critical. According to the information, the victim female doctor had done MBBS from RIMS itself and had recently taken admission in PG.
Late Thursday night, during duty, she ordered tea from the canteen with some of her colleagues. As soon as she drank the tea, she suddenly started having a reaction and her health started deteriorating. Seeing the serious condition of the student, she was taken to the Central Emergency. Then from there she was shifted to the Critical Care ICU.
