East Singhbhum: Jharkhand Banglabhashi Unnayan Samiti has demanded to name the Mango flyover after the great revolutionary martyr Khudiram Bose of the freedom struggle. Along with this, the committee also demanded to install the statue of martyr Khudiram Bose. In this regard, the delegation of the committee met Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Rai on Wednesday and put forth its views.
The members of the committee told the MLA that the Shaheed Smarak and the statue of Khudiram Bose located at Mango Chowk, which was earlier beautified on his initiative, were preserved by the district administration at a safe place during the construction of the flyover. Now that the construction work of the flyover is progressing rapidly, it should be ensured that the memorial and the statue are reinstalled after the construction is completed, so that the new generation can get information about the sacrifice of martyr Khudiram Bose.
On this, MLA Saryu Rai assured the delegation that he would submit this demand letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the state assembly and request him to consider it sympathetically. The delegation included Rajesh Rai, Anshu Mukherjee, Asit Chakraborty, Kamal Chakraborty, Sanjeev Acharya, Tarak Mukherjee, Ranjit Aich, Vishwajit Chakraborty, Prem Ranjan Ghosh, Pranab Vikas Dhar and others.
