Ranchi: Tuition teacher Madhusudan Baitha, resident of Sisai village, Gumla, convicted in the case of raping a class 10 student, has been sentenced to rigorous 14 years imprisonment by the special court of POCSO Act on Wednesday, 27 August. Along with this, a fine of Rs 25,000 has been imposed on him. The court had found him guilty on the said charge on August 20. The victim had lodged an FIR against the accused teacher on 12 December 2022 at Argora police station regarding the incident. During the hearing, the APP recorded solid testimony on the basis of which the court has found him guilty and sentenced him.
