Medha milk will be expensive, price increased
Ranchi: Drinking milk has become more expensive in Jharkhand. The state's leading dairy company Medha Dairy has increased the prices of milk and other products from today i.e. Monday, May 12. The company has increased the price of its major product - packaged milk - by Rs 2 per liter. The new rates have been implemented across Jharkhand from Monday.
Medha Dairy officials have confirmed this price hike and said that this step has been taken due to increase in the purchase cost of raw milk, packaging, and transportation expenses. The increase in prices will directly affect the pockets of common consumers, especially those families who use milk on a large scale daily. At the same time, this increase has also become a matter of concern for small shopkeepers and hoteliers. It is worth mentioning that Medha Dairy operates under the Jharkhand Milk Federation and supplies milk and milk products to millions of consumers across the state.
