After the instructions of the central government, the state government has shown promptness and issued orders for distribution of ration from June 1 to June 30. The department has directed all the district administrations that there should be no negligence in the distribution work and the beneficiaries should receive ration on time and safely.
State Food Minister Dr Irfan Ansari has clearly said that injustice with the poor will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This is the sensitive government of Hemant Soren and we are working with accountability. The minister said that he will personally monitor the distribution operations and strict action will be taken against careless officials.
The minister has directed to call an emergency meeting of all DSO, FCI officials, in which concrete decisions will be taken on ensuring the storage of three months' grain, availability of warehouses, logistics arrangements and quality of ration. Special instructions have been given that the grain should not rot anywhere and every beneficiary should get the right quantity and quality ration.
The department is fully prepared to deal with every kind of disaster. The supply chain is being strengthened so that there is no delay in providing relief to the poor in any situation.
Dr. Ansari said that our every step is for the welfare of the poor. We are engaged in serving the public 24 hours a day. The trust of the people is the biggest reward for us and we will not let it break.
