Awareness rally taken out on World Hypertension Day

 

Ranchi: On the occasion of World Hypertension Day, an awareness rally was taken out from Sadar Hospital Ranchi for the symptoms, prevention and treatment of hypertension. A seminar was organized on this subject in the Civil Surgeon Office Auditorium. The main objective of this program is to make people aware about the causes, symptoms and prevention of hypertension, to understand the effect of hypertension in the development of serious medical complications, as well as to spread awareness about its prevention and control. It is known that more than 100 crore adults worldwide are affected by hypertension and 45% of the adult population suffers from hypertension.

  This year the theme of World Hypertension Day is - measure your blood pressure correctly, control it, live longer. Awareness program regarding World Hypertension Day will be run in the district for one month from Saturday. Under this, the community and people will be made aware about it through various IEC posters, banners and meetings. At the same time, free hypertension and diabetes checkups are being done in the district hospital and all community health centers.

      District Leprosy Prevention Officer cum Nodal Officer NCD Dr. Seema Gupta said that regular exercise and healthy lifestyle This can be avoided by adopting these tips. To control high blood pressure one should reduce salt intake and one should completely avoid smoking. Early detection is the only way to prevent this.

     On this occasion, District Leprosy Prevention Officer cum Nodal Officer NCD Dr Seema Gupta, DTO Dr S Baski, WHO Consultant Dr Debojit Sarkar, NSS Program Coordinator Anubhav Chakraborty, Neeraj Kaushik, Abhishek Dev, Saroj Kumar, Sushant from Tata Trust along with NSS students, ANM school students and other health workers participated in the program.
