Ranchi, September 12, 2026: The process of claims and objections under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Jharkhand is underway. According to the latest bulletin issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, a large number of applications have been received under different forms.
As of September 10, a total of 4,39,191 applications had been received through Form-6. On September 11 alone, 15,010 Form-6 applications were received.
Similarly, 79 applications have been received through Form-6A, including two applications received on September 11. Under Form-7, a total of 4,609 claims/objections have been received, of which 693 were received on September 11.
The highest number of applications after Form-6 has been received through Form-8, with a total of 2,78,561 applications. Of these, 9,530 applications were received on September 11.
The Chief Electoral Officer's office has informed that the last date for filing claims and objections is September 15, 2026. After completion of the revision process, the final electoral roll will be published on October 19, 2026.
