Satara, September 24, 2026: Farmers in Satara district’s Man, Koregaon and Phaltan talukas are facing severe crop losses due to inadequate rainfall and water scarcity. Guardian Minister Shambhuraj Desai has assured farmers that the government stands firmly with them and that immediate assistance will be provided for crop damage.
Minister Desai visited drought-affected villages in Koregaon, Phaltan and Man talukas and inspected agricultural fields, dams and damaged standing crops. He also interacted with farmers and reviewed the situation on the ground.
During the visit, Desai directed the administration to ensure that no affected farmer is left out of the crop-loss assessment process. He instructed officials to conduct panchnamas of the actual crop damage and submit reports to the government immediately so that relief can reach farmers without delay.
Desai said that farmers are currently going through a difficult period, but they should not lose hope. The government is working to help them recover and rebuild their livelihoods. He appealed to farmers to move forward with renewed hope and assured them that the government will stand firmly by them during this difficult time.
