Nashik, September 24, 2026: Through the ‘Lok Samvad-2026’ initiative, citizens were urged to strictly follow traffic rules and celebrate Ganeshotsav safely and responsibly.
During the interaction session jointly organised by the Nashik District Information Office and the Manmad Yuva Lok Samvad Kranti Ganesh Mandal, Police Inspector Vijay Kare appealed to motorists to follow speed limits, wear helmets while riding two-wheelers, avoid using mobile phones while driving, and never drive under the influence of alcohol. He also stressed the importance of following traffic signals and directions issued by the police administration.
Vijay Kare urged Ganesh mandals to ensure that traffic is not disrupted during processions and called upon volunteers to cooperate with the police administration in maintaining smooth traffic movement. Parents were also advised to pay special attention to the safety of children during the festivities.
The programme also featured information about ‘Bappa.org’, a digital initiative aimed at preserving memories, cultural traditions and heritage associated with Ganeshotsav and passing them on to future generations.
Officials, social workers, Ganesh mandal representatives and citizens participated in the programme.
