State-Level Bankers’ Meet Held in Ranchi to Strengthen Credit Support for SC/ST Entrepreneurs
Ranchi, August 12, 2026: A state-level bankers’ meeting was held at Hotel Plateau, Ranchi, with the objective of improving banking support and ensuring easier access to government schemes for SC/ST entrepreneurs. The meeting was organized by the National SC-ST Hub Office, Ranchi, under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, in association with the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC).
The meeting focused on the effective implementation of SC/ST Hub schemes, particularly the Special Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (SCLCSS). Discussions centered on facilitating timely credit, simplifying reimbursement processes and ensuring that eligible SC/ST entrepreneurs receive the benefits of various schemes effectively.
Participants were briefed about National SC-ST Hub schemes, including the eligibility criteria, objectives and application process for SCLCSS and reimbursement schemes. Measures to strengthen coordination between banks and SC/ST entrepreneurs were also discussed.
An open-house discussion was also held with participating banks to identify challenges faced in extending banking support to SC/ST entrepreneurs and explore practical solutions. Suggestions were invited to improve coordination and ensure smoother delivery of scheme benefits.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on strengthening coordination with banks and addressing emerging challenges to ensure better financial support for SC/ST entrepreneurs.
