Heartfelt tributes paid to Dishom Guru Shibu Soren on his first death anniversary in Nemra, statue unveiled

On the first death anniversary of former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Padma Bhushan awardee, the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, a tribute meeting, statue unveiling, development fair and prize distribution program was organized on Tuesday at the Sona-Sobran +2 High School campus in Nemra (Lukaiyatan), Ramgarh district.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid tribute to his father and prominent leader of the Jharkhand movement, Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, by unveiling his life-size statue. MLA Kalpana Soren, his mother Roopi Soren, and other family members also offered floral tributes. The Chief Minister also announced various development schemes worth ₹105.2 crore for the region.
In his address, the Chief Minister stated that Shibu Soren's struggle was not limited to the creation of a separate Jharkhand state; rather, he fought throughout his life for the rights of tribals, Dalits, backward classes, and the exploited. He emphasized that future generations should draw inspiration from their history and the struggles of great figures, and that the greatest strength of society lies in mutual solidarity and brotherhood.
The Chief Minister stated that Jharkhand is a sacred land of heroes. The sacrifices and struggles of great men like Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Sido-Kanhu, Sobaran Manjhi, Nirmal Mahato, Vinod Bihari Mahato, and Dishom Guru have given the state a new identity. He urged the youth to follow the ideals of these great men and contribute to the state's development.
Mother Roopi Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Deepika Pandey Singh, Yogendra Prasad, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, MLA Umakant Rajak, Kumar Jayamangal Singh, Amit Mahato, Mamta Devi, former minister Baby Devi, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, senior officers of the state government, special guests and a large number of common people were present in the program.
