Chief Minister Hemant Soren pays heartfelt tribute on the first death anniversary of 'Dishom Guru' Shibu Soren

On Tuesday, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid a heartfelt tribute to the late 'Dishom Guru' Shibu Soren—a Padma Bhushan awardee and a legendary figure of the Jharkhand movement—on his first death anniversary. The Chief Minister visited the leader's residence in Morhabadi and offered floral tributes at his portrait.
On this occasion, 'Guruji's' wife Rupi Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, and other family members also paid their respects by offering flowers and remembered his life of struggle, his contributions, and his ideals.
Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that 'Dishom Guru' dedicated his entire life to the fight for the rights of Jharkhand and its people. Today, he is remembered with reverence and respect in every corner of the state. He remarked that Jharkhand is a land of heroes where people have always struggled for their rights and entitlements, and many brave sons have made the ultimate sacrifice in this struggle.
The Chief Minister noted that although 'Dishom Guru' is no longer physically among us, his struggle, ideas, and contributions will remain immortal. He dedicated his life to protecting the rights and uplifting the indigenous people, tribals, the underprivileged, and the exploited sections of Jharkhand. It is the primary responsibility of us all to realize his dreams and work towards the all-round development of the state in accordance with his ideals.
He added that the struggle, sacrifice, and selflessness of 'Dishom Guru' would continue to serve as a source of inspiration for future generations. His contribution to safeguarding the identity, dignity, and rights of Jharkhand is unforgettable. The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is working with full commitment to realize 'Dishom Guru's' vision of an egalitarian, just, and prosperous Jharkhand.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also respectfully paid tribute to all the brave martyrs of the Jharkhand movement.
