BJP questions Rahul Gandhi's student dialogue, Aditya Sahu says, "First get the government to fulfill the students' demands."
Ranchi, August 7: The BJP has targeted the Congress and the Jharkhand government over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's telephone conversation with agitating students in Ranchi. BJP State President Aditya Sahu said that if Rahul Gandhi is truly serious about the students' interests, he should have first spoken to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and ensured action on their demands.
Aditya Sahu said that the agitating students are demanding a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities. According to him, Rahul Gandhi should have pressured his coalition government to accept this demand, rather than merely holding talks with the students as a formality.
The BJP State President alleged that the Jharkhand government is running with the support of the Congress. Therefore, if the Congress cannot get the government to take decisions on issues concerning student interests, it should reconsider its support.
Calling Rahul Gandhi's conversation with the students a political move, he said that the students want concrete action on their demands, not just assurances.
