Babulal Marandi met with agitating students, demanding a CBI investigation into the JPSC-JSSC recruitment scam
Ranchi, August 7: Leader of the Opposition in the Jharkhand Assembly, Babulal Marandi, visited the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium on Friday to meet with the agitating students. He described their demands as legitimate and demanded a CBI investigation into the controversial JPSC and JSSC recruitment scams. He stated that the BJP will stand firmly with the students from the streets to the House of Assembly and will strongly raise this issue in the Assembly.
Speaking to reporters after a 15-minute conversation with the students, Marandi alleged that the issue in Jharkhand is not just about paper leaks, but about selling government jobs. He said that allegations of serious irregularities have surfaced in several examinations, including the 14th JPSC, JSSC CGL, and the excise constable recruitment, and therefore, an impartial CBI investigation into the entire matter is necessary.
He also demanded that the Chairman, Controller of Examinations, and Secretary of the JPSC and JSSC be immediately removed from their posts, and that strict action be taken by filing an FIR against the culprits.
Marandi said that if those who paid money to get jobs are allowed into government service, corruption will only increase in the coming years. He also accused the state government of adopting an insensitive attitude towards the protesting students.
Several BJP MLAs and officials were present during the protest, expressing their support for the students' protest.
