After becoming the National Secretary, Dinesh Soni pledged to address the problems of auto drivers
Ranchi: A meeting of the state officials and executive members of the Jharkhand State CNG Auto Drivers Federation was held on Wednesday at the federation's office located at Duke Mansion, Line Tank Road. The meeting was chaired by State President Dinesh Soni. Strengthening the organization, along with various problems faced by auto drivers and their solutions, were discussed in detail.
The meeting reviewed the role of inactive officials of the federation and agreed to make the organization more active and effective. Concern was also expressed over the alleged unnecessary fines imposed on auto drivers by the traffic administration, and a demand was made to stop this.
Several important suggestions were made at the meeting to streamline the auto operation system. These included ensuring autos operate within 50 meters of intersections, route determination, implementation of fare charts, and the early implementation of an identity card (I-card) system for all drivers.
On this occasion, all the office bearers and executive members congratulated and wished the state president of the federation, Dinesh Soni, on being nominated as the national secretary of the National Federation of Unorganized and Migrant Workers. The speakers said that under his leadership, work will be done more effectively to solve the problems of poor auto drivers and vehicle owners. They told that this organization is the first registered trade union of migrant laborers in the country.
