Rashida Naz Becomes Jharkhand Topper, Overcoming Adversity: Health Minister
Dhanbad: Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari visited the residence of state topper Rashida Naz on Friday. Her home is located in Jamadoba, within the Jharia area of Dhanbad district. During his visit, he felicitated Rashida, extended his best wishes for her bright future, and assured her of every possible support for her higher education.
Rashida Naz has brought glory to the state by securing the first rank across all of Jharkhand in the Science stream of the JAC Class 12 examinations (2026). Hailing from a very humble background, Rashida's parents are involved in the tent rental business. Living in a small home amidst limited resources and financial constraints, Rashida achieved this milestone through sheer hard work and dedication.
Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari appeared visibly moved upon reaching Rashida's home. He observed the small room where Rashida used to sit and study—the very place where she laid the foundation for becoming the state topper. The Minister remarked, "Seeing the room where this young girl sat to achieve this feat, my head is held high with pride. This proves that even adversity surrenders in the face of strong determination."
He stated that Rashida's success serves as an inspiration for the daughters and youth of the entire state. The Minister added, "Today, daughters are scripting history in every field. What is needed is to provide them with opportunities, respect, and support. Rashida Naz has proven that the daughters of Jharkhand are second to none."
Dr. Ansari also lauded the struggles and dedication of Rashida's parents. He noted that, despite their limited resources, they did not allow their daughter's dreams to be shattered—setting a shining example for the entire society.
Rashida shared that her dream is to join the Civil Services and dedicate herself to serving the nation and society. Her story of struggle and success has today become a source of inspiration for thousands of students across Jharkhand.
Present on this occasion were several office bearers, party workers, and local dignitaries, including Congress Party's Dhanbad District President Santosh Kumar Singh, Shamsher Alam, Pratik Sinha, and Taslim Madani.
