Holistic Development of Children Possible Through Scouts and Guides: Dr. Tarachand
Lohardaga, April 11, 2026: A meeting of the District Committee of the Bharat Scouts and Guides was held in the Collectorate conference hall, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Kumar Tarachand. He stated that the Scouts and Guides movement fosters discipline, leadership, a spirit of service, and teamwork among children. Emphasizing the need for greater participation among tribal children, he highlighted the necessity of regular training for teachers. Additional Collector Jitendra Munda noted that the Scouts and Guides have rendered commendable service in various situations, including during elections. District Education Superintendent Abhijit Kumar spoke regarding the expansion of activities within schools and the provision of office facilities at the district level. Principals, teachers, and officials from various schools were present at the meeting.
