Emphasis on BLO Stickers and Electoral Roll Purification; 48-Hour Callback Mandatory
Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar has directed all districts to ensure that stickers containing BLO details are affixed to every household and to conduct a physical verification of this process. Households lacking a specific house number are to be assigned a 'notional number,' and the necessary details are to be duly recorded in the BLO register. He issued instructions to have the lists of voters categorized as Absent, Shifted, Deceased, or Duplicate certified by the BLA-2 representatives of recognized political parties, and to subsequently remove duplicate entries from the system. Officials were asked to expedite the mapping of voters missed during the door-to-door campaign and to verify the accuracy of the data. Furthermore, strong emphasis was placed on ensuring the resolution of complaints received through the 'Book a Call' service by initiating a callback within 48 hours.
