🗳️ Chief Minister Hemant Soren casts his vote, appeals to citizens to strengthen democracy

Today, as part of the Jharkhand Municipal Corporation Elections 2026, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his wife and MLA Kalpana Soren, exercised his franchise at the polling station (Ward No. 26, Booth No. 7) at Sant Kuldeep High School in Harmu.
The Chief Minister arrived at the polling station on time and, like ordinary voters, stood in line to complete the voting process. Tight security arrangements were in place, and administrative officials were also present.
Speaking to media representatives on the school campus after casting his vote, Chief Minister Hemant Soren appealed to the citizens of the state to vote in large numbers. He said that participation of every citizen is essential for strengthening democracy. Municipal elections are directly linked to local development and public concerns, so voters must exercise their right to vote.
MLA Kalpana Soren also appealed to the public to participate in the voting peacefully and enthusiastically.
Enthusiasm among voters has been evident at various polling stations since morning for the municipal elections in the state. The administration has made extensive arrangements to ensure fair and peaceful voting.
