Retail sales showed exceptional momentum, surging by 69 percent to 0.14 million tonnes (MT) in November 2025, up from 0.084 MT in November 2024. This growth was driven by higher sales across multiple product categories and distribution channels, including domestic saleable steel, increased road dispatches, and door deliveries from warehouses. During the month, SAIL also emerged as the country’s highest seller of TMT bars.
Maintaining this positive trend, SAIL reported a robust cumulative sales performance during the April–November 2025 period. Total sales during these eight months stood at 12.7 MT, reflecting a 14 percent growth over 11.1 MT recorded in the corresponding period last year.
The company attributed this resilient performance to a strong and focused sales strategy, supported by continuous efforts of the SAIL team in the marketplace. This growth was achieved despite multiple challenges, including global steel price pressures, demand volatility, uncertainties in global trade policies, and ongoing geopolitical tensions.
Retail channel sales during April–November 2025 also remained strong, reaching 0.97 MT, which is 13 percent higher than 0.86 MT recorded in the same period last year. SAIL stated that sustained nationwide brand promotion campaigns have further supported this growth.
The performance highlights SAIL’s customer-centric approach, market leadership, and operational excellence in navigating a challenging global environment while ensuring consistent growth across segments. The company reaffirmed its commitment to achieving higher levels of excellence and growth in the future.
