Encroachment Removal Drive on RIMS Land to Continue; Jharkhand High Court Refuses to Halt the Action

Ranchi News: The anti-encroachment drive on the land of RIMS (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) will continue without interruption. The Jharkhand High Court on Thursday rejected more than a dozen petitions seeking a stay on the ongoing eviction action, making it clear that the drive will not be stopped.

A bench comprising Chief Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad stated that filing intervention petitions without valid documents and submitting papers later cannot be considered a valid ground to halt the anti-encroachment exercise.

During the hearing, the Ranchi Deputy Commissioner, SSP, and the Bargai Circle Officer appeared before the court with all necessary documents. The court questioned them regarding the encroachments within the RIMS premises. The officers presented details of the eviction work carried out so far.

The court directed the district administration to continue the encroachment removal drive on RIMS land. It also clarified that the Kailash Kothi matter will be heard in detail on December 15.

The High Court has been maintaining a strict stance over illegal encroachments on RIMS property and expects transparent and decisive action from the administration.
