
Projects Worth Over ₹341 Crore Dedicated on Jharkhand Foundation Day
Bokaro, 15 November:
As part of the state-level celebrations under the Silver Jubilee Year of Jharkhand Foundation Day 2025, programmes were organised across the state from 11 to 15 November. In this sequence, the Bokaro district-level ceremony was held on Saturday at the Shibu Soren Smriti Bhavan (Town Hall), Camp-2.
Ministers and Legislators Attend District-Level Celebration
The event witnessed the presence of Drinking Water & Sanitation Minister, MLA Umakant Rajak, MLA Kumar Jaimangal Singh, Chairperson of Jharkhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Baby Devi, and Zila Parishad Chairperson Sunita Devi.
Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh, DDC Shatabdi Majumdar, DRDA Director Menka, Additional Collector Mohammad Mumtaz Ansari, SDO Pranjal Dhanda and several district and block-level officials were also present.
45 District Projects Worth ₹101.83 Crore Inaugurated and Launched
Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha informed that 45 schemes worth ₹101 crore 83 lakh 97 thousand were inaugurated or launched in the district. This included the inauguration of 30 schemes and foundation laying of 15 schemes related to the Rural Development Special Division, Chas Municipal Corporation, NREP, Building Division and Minor Irrigation Department.
State-Level Dedication of 91 Projects Worth ₹341.60 Crore
During the state-level ceremony, 91 schemes of Bokaro district were dedicated, amounting to ₹341 crore 60 lakh 27 thousand.
This included:
- 87 inaugurations: ₹269 crore 76 lakh 52 thousand
- 4 foundation stones: ₹71 crore 83 lakh 75 thousand
Launch of JanSetu App for Public Grievances
The JanSetu mobile app was launched to enable citizens to track their complaint status online and upload documents or photos.
The Minister appreciated this initiative, stating that it would ensure timely and transparent grievance redressal. He also instructed officials to ensure widespread publicity at the block and panchayat levels.
Tribute to Birsa Munda and Felicitation of Officials
Before the ceremony, tributes were paid to Bhagwan Birsa Munda at his statue located at New Mor Birsa Chowk, marking his 150th birth anniversary.
Officials and employees from JSLPS, District Election Office, District Sports Office, Urban Bodies, Health, Education, and Disaster Management departments were honoured for their outstanding service.
