Two motorcyclists killed in road accident

Jharkhand/Koderma:Two motorcyclists were killed after being hit by a truck near the Holy Family Hospital under the Koderma police station limits on Saturday. One person died on the spot, while another was seriously injured. According to reports, a truck (JH 05 DK 3843) was heading from Koderma towards Jhumritilaiya on Saturday evening. Meanwhile, two people riding a motorcycle (JH 12H 0912) were traveling in the opposite direction, also heading towards Koderma.

The truck struck the motorcycle near the Holy Family Hospital under the Koderma police station limits. The pillion rider died, while the driver was seriously injured. The truck went out of control and fell into a ditch on the side of the road. The driver and assistant driver fled the scene.

Shortly after the incident, Tilaiya police station in-charge Vinay Kumar was passing by. They rushed the injured to Sadar Hospital, where he also died during treatment. The deceased have been identified as Praveen Kumar (25, son of Ram Lakhan Yadav), a resident of Sarvahna under Satgawan police station, and Arvind Prasad Yadav (60, son of Badrinath Yadav), a resident of Madhopur. The station in-charge stated that the police are investigating the matter. The bodies have been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
