Three accused, including a Khortha singer, sent to jail for gang rape of a female artist

 

Jharkhand/Dumka: Hansdiha police arrested three accused, including Khortha singer Paras Yadav, and sent them to jail on Saturday on charges of gang rape of a woman under the pretext of a stage show. The arrested accused include singer Paras Yadav, Saurabh Kumar, from the Baunsi police station area of ​​Banka district in Bihar, and Rajan Kumar from the Hansdiha police station area.

According to information received, the woman had filed a written complaint at the Hansdiha police station alleging gang rape. She stated that she lives in a rented house in Deoghar and earns her living by performing on stage.

On September 28th, a young man named Saurabh Kumar called her and invited her to perform. The accused, Saurabh Kumar, Rajan Raj, and Paras Raj Yadav, arrived in Deoghar in a white car (JH 15 AF 4591). They then boarded the car and left for Hansdiha. After arriving in Hansdiha, they inquired about the dancing girls, the preparations for the program, and the show. Saurabh told them there were four girls in the house opposite. When they arrived, no one was there. The victim reported that the three boys tricked her into coming to the house and then locked her in a room, where they raped her one by one. They also made an obscene video. They threatened to make the video viral and kill her if she told anyone about the incident. The accused also allegedly took her mobile phone and 1,200 rupees.

Paras used Rajan's car for video shooting. He also used Rajan's car to carry out the crime. In the case, Superintendent of Police Pitambar Singh Kherwar stated that the accused were previously acquainted with the woman. They used to make videos together and upload them to a YouTube channel. The woman alleged that the accused molested her. Police have registered an FIR in the case, arrested the accused, and sent them to judicial custody.
