"Kantara Chapter 1" shines at the box office, enters the 100 crore club before the weekend

Entertainment: Southern cinema star Rishabh Shetty is in the news these days thanks to his highly anticipated film "Kantara Chapter 1," which has exploded at the box office upon its release. The film had a meteoric start, crossing the 100 crore mark in just two days. Released on Dussehra, the film is winning hearts, while the magic of Sunny Sanskari's Tulsi Kumari, which released alongside it, has faded.

Box Office Report of "Kantara Chapter 1"

According to box office tracker SacNilk, "Kantara Chapter 1" earned ₹61.85 crore on its first day. Although the figures dropped slightly on the second day, and the film earned ₹45 crore, the film's overall Indian box office collection has reached ₹106.85 crore in just two days. The film is very close to recovering its budget of ₹125 crore.

Notably, the film is being received well in Kannada and Hindi. On its first day, it grossed ₹19.6 crore in Kannada and ₹18.5 crore in Hindi, which is considered a remarkable figure for any film. 'Kantara Chapter 1' is a sequel to the blockbuster film 'Kantara' and is directed by Rishabh Shetty himself. The film also stars Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah in pivotal roles.

Box Office Report for 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari'

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's romantic comedy 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' was released on October 2, coinciding with Dussehra, along with 'Kantara Chapter 1'. The film had a strong opening day, earning ₹9.25 crore, but its performance declined on the second day, earning only ₹5.25 crore. The impact of clashing with 'Kanthara Chapter 1' on a large scale is clearly visible on the earnings of this film.
