Jharkhand/Palamu: Two brave sons of Haidernagar police station area were martyred in the encounter between police and militants in Manatu of Palamu district on Wednesday. The martyred soldiers include Santan Mehta, a resident of Barewa village and Sunil Ram, a resident of Parata village. The news of the martyrdom of both has brought mourning in the entire area. People are discussing their courage and bravery everywhere.
On Thursday, the last rites of martyr Santan Mehta were performed with full state honors. During this, SDPO of Hussainabad Mohd. S. Yakub and IPS officer Rajiv Ranjan shouldered the mortal remains of the martyrs and gave them a final farewell. Thousands of people gathered to get a glimpse of the martyr. It is being told that the queue of people paying tribute was two to three kilometers long. Santan has left behind his wife and two minor daughters.
At the same time, the new house of brave soldier Sunil Ram of Parata village is closed. Sunil lived in Daltonganj with his wife Shobha Devi and two sons Yuvraj and Ayush, while his parents are living in Haryana. The family will reach the village by late night. That is why his last rites will be performed on Friday at the Son river ghat of Parata with full state honors.
The bodies of both the soldiers were brought to Haidernagar. During this time there was an atmosphere of grief in the entire area. Leaders and public representatives paid tribute to both the martyrs.
On the occasion, local MLA Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav, BJP leader Kameshwar Kushwaha, JMM leader Rampravesh Singh said that the land of Hussainabad is full of brave sons. While fighting the Naxalites, Santan and Sunil have brought glory to the region, state and country by sacrificing their lives.
