Jharkhand/Ranchi : A chemical factory in the Irba area of Ranchi's Ormanjhi police station area suddenly caught fire on Friday. The fire was so devastating that it engulfed the entire factory in no time.
Local residents informed the police and fire brigade. Several fire brigade vehicles immediately arrived at the scene and began battling the blaze.
Local residents reported that smoke initially rose from the factory. Shortly after, a loud explosion occurred, and flames began to rise. The flames quickly spread. The incident caused panic in the surrounding area, with people fleeing.
Ormanjhi police station in-charge Anil Kumar Tiwari stated that no casualties have been reported yet, but the factory has suffered significant damage. Fire engines have arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire. The administration has also launched an investigation. Prima facie, the accident is being attributed to a short circuit, but the exact cause of the fire is being investigated.
